Every session is a little different and I let your objectives guide me. But whether it’s of your sleeping baby, your tireless preschooler, your emerging teenager or your sweet mother, a portrait session is designed to capture the person you love in a beautiful and poignant way. A beautiful portrait will call to mind again and again who this person is and why they are unique. A family portrait session will give you countless images of your loved ones and of you as a family connecting.

Many of my sessions - especially pregnancy, newborn and family – start in the privacy and comfort of your home, making use of natural light. From there we often go to a favorite outdoors spot of yours – the beach, park or a landmark important to your family. Never be afraid to suggest an idea for your session, be it a boat, a winery, a farm or anything else that means something to you.

Engagement photos tend to be a bit more out and about. Perhaps we revisit your first meeting place, your favorite café or the park or city neighborhood where you enjoy spending time. Some couples go for a more urban flavor while others opt for a more rural setting. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other and to help you feel completely at ease with me on the day of your wedding.

Adventure sessions include anything from your child’s soccer game to a day skiing at the mountain with your family. I’ve photographed everything from a day at the motocross track to an afternoon sailing. Throw it out there! If you want your sport documented or even just feel your family is best represented in a state of activity, you might want to consider an adventure session. Because these vary so much in scope and time, pricing is based upon your proposal.

Senior photos are a wonderful way to mark this important milestone in your child’s life. Much like my other sessions, your tastes – and those of your child’s – drive the sessions. And if you’re at a loss, I can always suggest settings and ideas I know to work well.

A boudoir session is a really fun gift for your special someone. Although these photos will be sensuous, they vary depending upon your tastes and comfort level. Some people want a beautiful nude photograph to give to their partner. Others want seductive yet more discreet portraits to give to their love as a playful gesture or for a momentous anniversary.

Pets! Who doesn’t love their pets? I do these sessions in much the same way I do family sessions - at your home or at a location you and your pet love. I also do dog shows and can help you photograph your animals beautifully for prospective buyers if you are a breeder.
